Algebra Tiles 
These 162 tiles are used to model algebraic applications of the distributive property. Expressions such as (x + 2)(x + 3) = x2 + 5x + 6 and (x - 2)(2x + 1) = 2 X 2 - 3x - 2 can be modeled. Flats, longs, and unit squares for bases 3, 4, and 5 are included. There are enough tiles to build two models in each base simultaneously. By assigning values of x2, x and 1 to flats, longs, and unit squares respectively, literal expressions and equations are modeled. The AIMS Algebra Tiles are designed specifically for use with Multiplication, the Algebra Way.
